Lakeside Dining Hall

Lakeside Dining Hall

Designed to seamlessly integrate with Elon’s existing student union, Lakeside Dining also creates a gateway between academic and residential environments on campus.

An open and welcoming atmosphere is found inside the main dining area, which is a large, double-height space with timber trusses and abundant natural light. The spacious dining area is surrounded by three open serveries where students can choose from seasonal and locally-sourced food, home-style favorites, or global cuisine at the international station, where a different country is represented each week.Additional mealtime options are available in the retail dining area, a ‘grab-and-go’ style commissary surrounded by informal seating.

Outdoor patios, and gathering areas such as a new outdoor plaza and the Winter Garden, provide open-air seating where Elon students enjoy views of their campus – which regularly ranks among America’s most beautiful.
